REBATES

Mental Health Care Plan‍

Sessions with our psychologists are eligible for the following Medicare rebates:

GENERAL PSYCHOLOGIST: $96.65 rebate

To access Medicare rebates, you will need referral from your GP with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) emailed to admin@footnotepsychology.com.au and/or uploaded to your intake form. To obtain your rebate in a timely manner, please arrange for your plan to be sent to us prior to your initial appointment. After your invoice is paid in full, your Medicare rebate claim will be processed within two business day following your session.

Your Mental Health Care Plan will provide access to approximately ten psychology sessions within one calendar year. We are typically required to provide a report to your GP at sessions six and ten.

Medicare does not offer rebates for assessment costs, or for any other services or products we provide.

NDIS

Footnote Psychology is not a NDIS-registered provider, but we can provide our services to both plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants.

Plan-Managed:

Sessions for plan-managed participants are charged at the NDIS rate of $222.99, in line with the NDIA pricing guide. Your plan manager is invoiced directly.

Seld-Managed:

Self-managed participants have the flexibility to pay providers directly at an agreed rate. Our standard Full Fee rates apply and vary depending on whether the clinician is a Registered or Clinical Psychologist. Clients pay us directly and may then claim the cost from their NDIS funding.

Private Health Insurance

You may be eligible to claim partial costs of the consultation fee if you hold private health insurance. Check with your insurer to see what is covered. Any claims for private health insurance must be managed independently from Footnote Psychology.
