Hi, I’m Daniel. I’m a psychologist, a researcher, a partner, and a dad for a very curious little human

I work with children, teens, and adults to help them better understand themselves and navigate life in ways that feel more manageable and more meaningful. Whether it’s anxiety, identity, trauma, neurodivergence, or just feeling a bit stuck, I aim to offer a space that feels safe, authentic, and genuinely supportive.

My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I’m especially passionate about affirming care and supporting people who may not have felt fully understood before. I believe therapy and assessment should be useful, not overwhelming, and that every person deserves to be seen for who they are, not just the challenges they face.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m completing both a PhD in psychology (exploring how trans and gender-expansive young people resist systems of oppression) and an MBA, which helps me design more thoughtful, accessible systems of care across services, schools, and communities.

Outside of work, you’ll find me deep into a video/board game, building towers with my little one, or hanging out with my partner in crime.

Client Care Team

Hi, I’m Liesl, and I look after the behind-the-scenes side of things here at Footnote Psychology. I’m often your first point of contact, whether you're reaching out with questions, looking to book an appointment, or just figuring out where to start.

I come from a background in psychology, having completed a Master of Professional Psychology and worked directly with clients across all ages. While I’ve stepped back from clinical work, my experience helps me understand the importance of empathy, confidentiality, and making people feel safe and supported from the very first interaction.

I’m especially passionate about creating a calm and welcoming experience. Whether you're here for therapy, an assessment, or just reaching out for more information.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me scrolling through BookTok for my next read, walking my dogs, or spending time with family and friends.
